Hello and welcome — I’m Jeannette, a lifelong learner, writer, and online entrepreneur. After working in the corporate world for nearly 50 years, I finally discovered the freedom, balance, and joy of creating a business that reflects my values and passions.
For most of my life, I worked in management and operations — structured, demanding, and full of long hours. Yet even in those busy years, I dreamed of something more flexible and fulfilling: a life where I could work on my own terms, from home or anywhere in the world.
That dream began to take shape in 2017 when I discovered Wealthy Affiliate — a platform that teaches people how to build online businesses through websites, content creation, and affiliate marketing.
It gave me the tools, training, and confidence to turn my decades of professional experience into something completely new: a digital business built with heart and integrity.
💻 My Journey to Online Freedom
At first, I worked full-time while building my first website in the evenings. But as my skills and confidence grew, I began working more from home — managing my husband’s business, creating my own content, and finding the rhythm that fit my lifestyle. By 2019, I had fully transitioned to working remotely, and I haven’t looked back since.
Today, I divide my time between writing, building online income streams, and nurturing a life rooted in purpose and creativity.
My home office has become my favourite place — where I work beside my cat, Ginger, with a cup of tea nearby and a window full of natural light.
Working from home has given me something I could never find in a traditional job: balance. I can organize my day around my energy, my goals, and the things that truly matter — like my family, my dog Sadie, and my garden.
